Below are several classroom technology configurations that work for some teachers.
ELEMENTARY CLASSROOM - READING AND MATH - TWO DEVICE SCENARIO
1. Desktop connected to Smartboard. On Zoom. Smartboard displays all Zoom participants. Desktop is host. Annotation is directly on Smartboard using Smartboard pens when needed. Sound is muted.
2. iPad - on Zoom. Used for sound, viewing Zoom participants and as a camera displaying the Smartboard when needed.
ELEMENTARY CLASSROOM - READING AND MATH - THREE DEVICE SCENARIO
1. Desktop connected to Smartboard. On Zoom. Smartboard displays all Zoom participants. Sound is muted.
2. iPad - on Zoom. Used for sound, viewing all Zoom participants and as a camera displaying the Smartboard when needed.
3. Personal Mac computer - Air Play to Smartboard. On Zoom using screen sharing. Sound is muted. Used when the teacher wants to annotate on the Smartboard using Smartboard pens and prefers using Mac vs desktop computer.
* Note You cannot zoom and screen share with an iPad. But you can zoom and screen share with a Mac.
ELEMENTARY CLASSROOM - READING AND MATH - THREE DEVICE SCENARIO WHEN STUDENTS NEED TO ANNOTATE ON SMARTBOARD
1. Desktop connected to Smartboard. On Zoom as host when annotation is needed by teacher or students. Sound is muted.
2. iPad - on Zoom. Used for sound, viewing all Zoom participants and as a camera displaying the Smartboard when needed.
3. Personal Mac computer - Air Play to Smartboard. On Zoom as host. Sound is muted. Screen is shared. Host is changed to desktop when students need to annotate on the board.
